G2 hits ‘unicorn’ status with $157M in fresh funding

B2B software marketplace and review platform G2 has raised new funding at a $1.1 billion valuation.  The company raised $157 million in a Series D round led by Permira, a London-based private equity firm, G2 announced Tuesday. Other investors include Accel, Emergence and IVP. G2 co-founder and CEO Godard Abel did not respond to a request for comment as of publishing time.
