When it comes to Covid-19 vaccinations for health care workers, Polk County leads the pack. As of Thursday, 90% of the health care workforce in the county east of Salem had been vaccinated, with less than three weeks to go before the Oct. 18 deadline set by Gov. Kate Brown. All told, 79% of the state’s 131,374 health care workers have been vaccinated against Covid-19, or 103,785 doctors, nurses, dentists, radiologists and other licensees. That leaves 27,589 workers who have yet to be vaccinated.…
