V Anantha Nageswaran takes charge as new chief economic adviser

Ahead of the presentation of Economic Survey, government appointed Dr V Anantha Nageswaran as the chief economic adviser (CEA). In an official release, the ministry of finance said on Friday that Dr Nagewaran has assumed charge as the new CEA. Nageswaran succeeds Krishnamurthy Subramanian who returned to academia at the end of his three-year tenure in December 2021.
