Officials say Mexican citizens were among those going to work at a Florida watermelon farm when the bus they were traveling in was hit and crashed, killing eight people. Alicia Bárcena, Mexico’s foreign relations secretary, said via the social media platform X on Tuesday that a tragic automotive accident happened in Florida with Mexican agricultural workers involved. She didn't say how many of the more than four dozen people on board were from Mexico. The Florida Highway Patrol on Tuesday arrested Bryan Maclean Howard, the driver of a pickup truck that crashed into the farmworker bus, on charges of driving under the influence-manslaughter. It wasn't known if Howard has an attorney.
