An investments official announced the estimate at a meeting with the Board of Regents on Tuesday. The board is holding its first public meetings since students across the country began protesting the war in Gaza. Student protesters have asked the university system to divest from weapons manufacturers and groups that support Israel. The president's office has already said the university system has no plans to divest from Israel.
