SSR case: Patna IG writes to BMC commissioner

Sushant Singh Rajput’s father had filed an FIR in Patna against Rhea Chakraborty, following which a team from Patna police arrived in Mumbai for investigation. However Patna SP Vinay Tiwari was put in quarantine by the BMC, till August 15. Requesting that he officer be exempted, Patna IG Sanjay Kumar has written to the BMC commissioner Iqbal Chahal, requesting that Patna SP Vinay Tiwari be released for quarantine. According to Times Now, Patna IG Sanjay Kumar has also cited the SOP that states officers on duty cannot be stopped, from the guidelines provided by the union home ministry.
