DYK Sajid ran away from Antakshari shoot?

ajid Khan, familiar from his appearances on a popular TV show, recently shared insights on his early struggles and career journey during an interview with 'Timeout With Ankit'. He revealed that initially, he was slated to host 'Antakshari' before Annu Kapoor took over. Khan recollected his past, saying, "I used to perform at college events, earning Rs. 200 to Rs. 300. Then, in the early '90s, I auditioned for Antakshari, showcasing my talents. Thankfully, I landed the host role, marking my TV breakthrough. But before the first shoot, I backed out, which was unprofessional." When asked about his choice, Khan honestly admitted, "I was terrified! I knew the show would be a hit. I wanted to be the face of 'Antakshari'. Thankfully, Annu Kapoor took over, bringing his versatility. He made 'Antakshari' his own; that wouldn't have been possible for me. I aimed to be 'host and dost, Sajid Khan'."
