Russia: Mass arrests as Alexei Navalny supporters defy protest ban

More than 1,500 people have been detained at rallies across the country. Authorities in Moscow shut seven metro stations and blocked streets around the Kremlin in a bid to prevent a repeat of last week's huge protests.
