Ex-German chancellor Schröder loses appeal on taxpayer-funded office

Gerhard Schröder has lost a court bid to reopen his government-funded office as a former chancellor. Parliament stripped him of the facility and staff, but did not link the move to Schröder's contentious Russian ties.
