A massive fire broke out at an oil warehouse in Uttar Pradesh's Rampur district in the late evening on June 28. Incident happened in Tilak colony under limits of Kotwali Police Station. The flames of massive fire caught six to seven buildings attached to it. A local said, "30 to 40 people are trapped in the houses. Rescue operation is underway." More details are awaited.
The district administration of Rampur started a unique initiative of mobile medical stores on e-rickshaws to stop unnecessary public movement on roads after the district reported multiple COVID-19 cases and was converted into red zone and containment zone. These mobile medical stores go door-to-door to collect the documents of the prescribed drugs and get it delivered by the next day.
Briefing about the daily coronavirus situation in the state of Uttar Pradesh, Principal Secretary (Health) Amit Mohan Prasad informed that 982 fresh infections were reported in last 24 hours. "In the last 24 hours, 982 new COVID-19 positive cases have been reported in the state. There are 7451 active cases, 17,557 discharges so far and 749 patients have succumbed to the infection," said Amit Mohan Prasad.
An encounter broke out between a miscreant and police in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh on July 03. One criminal carrying a bounty of Rs 50,000 on his head was killed by police in the encounter. Initially, Bablu was admitted in Malkhan Singh District Hospital of Aligarh for medical treatment but later he was declared dead. Police recovered arms, ammunitions and 2 motor-cycles from his possession. It was a joint operation by Noida STF Police and Aligarh Police. Bablu is a resident of Faridabad district.
Eight policemen were killed while raiding house of history-sheeter Vikas Dubey in Bikaru village of Kanpur on July 03. Later during search operation, two criminals were also neutralised by cops.
