Pakistani PM Imran Khan further ratcheted up tension with India on Sunday as he announced “provisional provincial status” for Gilgit-Baltistan in an apparent move to annex the militarily occupied territory, through which passes China’s controversial China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), as Pakistan’s fifth province.
