'Narendra Modi' stadium: When BJP did a Congress

The renaming of the world’s largest cricket stadium in Ahmedabad after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and its inauguration by President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday have come in for widespread criticism from the BJP’s rivals. The BJP, whether it was in the opposition before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections or after coming to power, was always against the naming of government schemes, projects and places after the Nehru-Gandhi family members.
