Covid-19: SC stays Allahabad HC order directing lockdown of 5 UP cities

The Uttar Pradesh government on Monday moved the Supreme Court to appeal against the Allahabad high court order directing lockdown in five cities of UP. SG Tushar Mehta will mention before CJI for urgent hearing on the appeal. UP says the high court order is encroachment into domain of executive, which is best equipped to declare such lockdowns.
