Northeast strength in Union govt goes up to five

Three leaders from the northeast - former Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal, Lok Sabha MPs Pratima Bhoumik (Tripura) and Rajkumar Ranjan Singh (Manipur) - have been inducted in the Union council of ministers, increasing the representation from the region in the Modi ministry to five.
