Bengal to decide on stricter curbs next week to rein in Covid

Concerned about the increase in the number of Covid-19 infections - including those from the Omicron variant - in Bengal, CM Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday said the state may have to temporarily shut down schools and colleges and put in place movement restrictions to check the spread of the virus.
