Suicide case: Ariyalur girl, step-mother had warm relation, says Vijayashanti

The four-member BJP team, on a fact-finding mission into the suicide of Ariyalur minor girl, refuted claims that there was a strained relationship between her and her stepmother. Former MP and actor Vijayashanti said they had had a “good understanding” and she had taken care of the girl well and her treatment. “We will submit our report to the party leadership and they will look into it,” she said, adding that the conversion was not the only angle they had probed.
