Covid-19: India records 17,135 new cases and 47 deaths in last 24 hours

With 17,135 new coronavirus infections being reported in a day, India's total tally of Covid-19 cases rose to 4,40,67,144, according to the Union health ministry data updated on Wednesday. The death toll climbed to 5,26,477 with 47 fresh fatalities in the last 24 hours. The country's active Covid-19 cases declined from 1,39,792 to 1,37,057, according to the health ministry data.
