India reports 7,231 new Covid cases and 45 fatalities in last 24 hours, says health ministry

The death toll from the pandemic rose to 5,27,874 when 45 additional people died in last 24 hours. The number includes 10 deaths reconciled by Kerala, according to statistics updated at 8 am.
