India reports 8,586 Covid-19 cases and 48 deaths in the last 24 hours

With a decline of 1,142 cases from the previous day, India's active caseload went down to 96,506 from 97,648, according to the Union health ministry data on Tuesday morning. The active cases comprise 0.22 per cent of the total infections.
