India reports 5,443 Covid-19 cases and 26 deaths in last 24 hours

With an increase of 126 cases from the previous day, India's active caseload shot up to 46,342, according to the Union health ministry data on Thursday morning. The 26 new fatalities include five from Maharashtra and one each from Chhattisgarh, Haryana and Kerala along with 12 deaths reconciled by Kerala.
