India reports 556 new Covid cases, 17 deaths; active caseload stands at 6,782

India has reported 556 new cases of Covid in 24 hours, the data released by the Union government on Saturday morning stated. The country also recorded 17 more fatalities, including 15 reconciled by Kerala. With a dip of 252 active cases during the same period, the tally of such cases stood at 6,782.​
