Operation Bluestar anniversary observed amid heavy security in Amritsar

As expected, the heavy deployment of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) task force and plainclothes police within the confines of the Golden Temple complex and its vicinity dealt a blow to the nefarious plans of separatist elements on the occasion of the 39th anniversary of Operation Bluestar observed here on June 6 even as the Sikh high priest gave a call of unity in the Panth.
