An eight-year-old Muslim boy who was slapped by his classmates on the orders of his teacher has been admitted to a "good" school in Muzaffarnagar city, following the Supreme Court's directive. The boy had stopped going to school for three months after the incident, but will now restart his schooling in class II. The state will cover all educational expenses. The teacher was found encouraging students to hit the boy for "not studying properly" and has since faced legal action.
