PM Modi extends wishes countrymen on auspicious occasion of Chhath Puja

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended their wishes to the people on the occasion of 'Chhath', an ancient Hindu festival where prayers are offered to the Sun God. President Droupadi Murmu also urged people to respect Mother Nature and make water resources and the environment pollution-free. The festival, which is observed over four days and includes rituals such as holy bathing and fasting, is celebrated widely in Nepal and the Indian states of Bihar, West Bengal, and Jharkhand.
