A day after the shock, Parliament security witnesses total overhaul

The security regimen in Lok Sabha witnessed a complete overhaul after a security breach. Personal staff of MPs were not allowed entry and the visitors gallery remained empty. Movement of mediapersons was restricted and MPs could only interact with them at designated spots. Security measures included eye-scanning and thorough checks of credentials. Security was also tightened at Transport Bhavan. Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma had to enter the new parliament building through a different gate than intended.
