Shelved self-immolation plan due to lack of gel: Lalit Jha to cops

Lalit Mohan Jha, the alleged key conspirator in the security breach incident in Parliament, revealed that the group had originally planned to immolate themselves inside and outside Parliament but had to drop the idea due to the unavailability of fire retardant gel. Jha also claimed that the use of smoke canisters was part of their backup plan. He burned and destroyed his and others' mobile handsets, further fueling suspicion. The 'Made in China' smoke canisters used by the suspects had warnings and instructions for safe handling.
