PM Modi to be main ‘yajman’ at Ram temple event

Pt Laxmikant Dixit, the principal acharya of the 'pran pratishtha', announced that PM Narendra Modi will be the main yajman of the consecration rituals in Ayodhya on January 22. Other people will assist him as yajman due to time constraints. Dixit will join the team of Vedic scholars and priests for the 'yajman prayashchit' ritual on Wednesday. Dixit said: "Rituals prior to consecration had begun in the temple in Ayodhya and 'jalyatra' was in progress. I will join the team of Vedic scholars and Karmkandis (ritual priests), and 'yajman prayashchit' ritual will be performed on Wednesday."
