West Bengal governor visits Sandeshkhali, leaves for Delhi; skips Banga Bhavan, to stay in central govt guesthouse

Bengal governor CV Ananda Bose assured women in Sandeshkhali he would protect their honour. CM Mamata Banerjee said those who caused trouble had been arrested. Three villagers and a suspended Trinamool politician were granted bail. "All the women here are my rakhi sisters," Bose said at Trimani Bazar in Sandeshkhali after women there tied rakhis on the governor.
