As a bit of a surprise announcement at Samsung’s Unpacked event today, WhatsApp revealed it would finally allow you to transfer your chat history from iOS to Android. It’s about time. While WhatsApp has long allowed you to load a backup of your chats onto a new device, you’ve traditionally had to stick to the same OS. WhatsApp says that in the coming weeks, users will be able to bring their conversations from iOS devices to Samsung ones running Android 10 or higher.
