It was barely more than a year ago when we saw a Saturday Night Live sketch featuring Aidy Bryant as a middle-aged birthday girl who receives a series of gift signs emblazoned with message mired in brutal honesty and backhanded compliments. It was a good joke. It works even better as a Mother's Day gag.
