Jordan- Saudi reports increase in COVID infections

(MENAFN - Jordan News Agency) Amman, April 24 (Petra) -- Daily COVID-19 cases and fatalities in Saudi Arabia have continued to rise, with a total of 1,072 infections and nine deaths recorded Saturday, according to the Health Ministry. The Saudi Health Ministry published on its official website that the COVID-19 cases described as "critical" have reached 1,224 up to Saturday, as the active cases in the GCC country top 6,887. In the Saudi health authorities' effort to stem the spread of the virus, more than eight million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered through up to 587 vaccination centers.
