Jordan- Lower House discusses 13 questions directed to gov't

(MENAFN - Jordan Times) AMMAN � The Lower House on Monday discussed 13 questions directed to the government.Replying to MP's Salameh Bliwi, Interior Minister Mazen Faraiah  said that there are 413 tribal cases pending at administrative governors' offices since 2010, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.Lawmaker Aref Saaydeh postponed discussing his question upon the request of the government whose answer indicated that four cases of corruption were referred to court in 2020 and more than JD887,000 were retrieved.Meanwhile, Social Security Investment Fund (SSIF) CEO Kholoud Saqqaf replied to Deputy Ayyoub Khamis by saying that the Social Security Corporation contributes to 13 stumbling companies, where the market value of SSC's shares in these companies stands at some JD12 million or 0.7 per cent of the SSIF's investment portfolio.Saqqaf noted that the SSIF started operations in 2003 with a portfolio size of some JD1.6 billion that has reached to around JD11.2 billion nowadays.MP Yazan Shdeifat asked about the appointment of medical and technical staff at the northern region field hospital and the share of each governorate from these appointments, while MP Farid Haddad asked about the possibility of accrediting Prince Hamzah Hospital as an educational hospital for medical students at the Hashemite University.Replying to MP Majed Rawashdeh, Social Development Minister Ayman Mifleh said that the number of associations registered under the law stands at 6,500, which fall under the supervision of 14 ministries, except for cooperative associations and non-for-profit companies that are not subject to the Associations Law.MENAFN27042021000028011005ID1101991052
