Israeli forces kill Palestinian woman in Bethlehem

(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RAMALLAH, May 2 (KUNA) -- A Palestinian woman was shot dead on Sunday by Israeli occupation forces at a junction outside the illegal settlement bloc of Gush Etzion, south of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.According to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), Israeli soldiers opened fire at the 60-year-old woman, Rehab Zaalul, at point blank range and killing her on spot.In a statement, the Israeli military claimed that the woman attempted to stab Israeli soldiers at the junction.Separately, five other Palestinians were seriously injured when Israeli occupation forces, near the West Bank city of Nablus, fired live rounds, rubber-coated bullets, gas bombs to disperse a Palestinian protest.
