Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia Exerts all Efforts to Alleviate the Suffering of Yemeni People

(MENAFN - Saudi Press Agency) Riyadh, May 31, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues its efforts to achieve the political solution that will end the Yemeni crisis. Additionally, the government of Saudi Arabia is keen on achieving it through its continuous support for the UN efforts. Alongside its efforts to end the Yemeni crisis, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia also continues its humanitarian work through King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) and the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY). The newspaper further added while the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to exert all efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and to end the crisis in Yemen in order to achieve security and stability in Yemen and the region, the terrorist Houthi militia commits more crimes inside Yemen and targets civilian areas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. These attacks and war crimes, being committed by terrorist Houthi militia, require the international community act and to put an end to these crimes, in addition to addressing the Iranian regime that interferes in the affairs of the countries of the region through the armed militias, the newspaper concluded. In another context, Al-Riyadh�newspaper reported in its editorial that the recently launched�strategy of the Saudi Libraries Commission affirms that culture and cultural activities are part of development being witnessed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In this regard, the newspaper pointed to the statement of the CEO of the Libraries Commission, Dr. Abdulrahman Alasem, in a press conference held recently at King Fahad National Library in Riyadh on the occasion of launching the new strategy. He said the commission's strategy was designed to achieve the main role of libraries besides their expected social and economic impact. Alasem added that ''the strategy included multiple initiatives serving the sector, partners and the general community, as well as ensuring continuous education, innovation and workforce development.'' The newspaper added that the commission has built its strategy on inputs represented in reviewing more than 110 relevant local, regional and international documents, engaging a large number of internal and external stakeholders through interviews, workshops and focus groups, and working with local and international experts and specialists in the library sector. This is in addition to benchmarking against 27 countries. Meanwhile,�Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that education�is the launching pad for development, progress and prosperity. In this regard, the newspaper pointed to the Ministry of Education's recent announcement about the development of the education system in Saudi Arabia, including adding new subjects, developing curricula and dividing the new academic year into three semesters.
