Man Arrested In Connection With Arson At Accomodation Block, Servia Road, Leeds

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following an arson offence at an accommodation block in Leeds.

Police, fire and ambulance services were called to the Austin Hall student accommodation block on Servia Road, Leeds at about 09.07am today (2 August) to a report of a fire.

Emergency services attended and dealt with the fire which had begun in a corridor on the 5th floor of the block.

Firefighters also evacuated some residents from the building using breathing apparatus.
