Fatal road traffic collision, Teignmouth

At around 1.55pm on Saturday 26 September, police were advised of a road traffic collision which occurred on the B3192 Higher Exeter Road, Teignmouth.

The collision involved a motorcycle and an ambulance.

Police attended the scene along with paramedics and the air ambulance.

Sadly, the rider of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team and a Forensic Collision Investigator also attended and the road was closed for a number of hours while a specialist examination took place.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or may have been in the area at the time and has dashcam footage, is asked to call 101, or email 101@dc.police.uk, quoting log number 471 of 26/09/20.

Police would like to thank the public for their patience during the closure while the scene was investigated.
