Serious Road Traffic Collision Penzance

Police investigating a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a pedal bike are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Officers responded to reports of a collision near Royale Court, Chyandour Cliff, Penzance, at around 4.55am, on Monday 3 May.

A man in his late teens, who was the rider of a blue Yamaha 125 motorcycle, sustained life threatening injuries as a result of the collision and was taken to Derriford Hospital for treatment.

The female rider of the bike, a woman in her 60s, sustained injuries that are not thought to be life threatening or life changing. She was taken to Treliske Hospital for treatment.

Officers from the specialist Roads Policing Team attended the scene along with forensic collision investigators. The road was closed for a number of hours whilst a specialist examination of the scene took place.
