Fatal collision near Belowda, Roche, Cornwall

Police investigating a fatal road traffic collision on the B3274 on the overbridge of the A30 on Thursday 10 June, are appealing for any other witnesses to come forward.

The collision, which involved a silver Toyota Yaris, a white Piaggio 125 scooter and a silver Mercedes ML270 and resulted in the scooter and the Mercedes being destroyed as a result of a fire which broke out, happened at about 6.30pm.

Sadly, the motorcyclist, Paul Walters, 52, from Par, Cornwall, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are particularly interested to hear from the driver of a green Jeep-style vehicle, who was travelling away from the scene towards Roche, who may have valuable information for the investigation.

A 22-year-old woman from Oxford was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and was released under investigation, pending further enquiries.

The police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, has any information or dashcam footage that could help the police with their enquiries.
