*CAMBRIDGE, MA / ACCESSWIRE / March 18, 2024 /* Dr. Welsh Coaching, LLC, a coaching and consulting firm, is pleased to announce the launch of its newest group coaching program, "Navigating Success". This program is specifically designed to empower women leaders in the fields of medicine and biomedical research, areas where women have historically been underrepresented in leadership roles.

In December 2023, "Navigating Success" kicked off with a dynamic workshop at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, focusing on women's leadership. The program, sponsored by biotech corporations Gilead and Seagen, as well as the Victoria's Secret Fund, is set to continue throughout 2024. It features ongoing group coaching for two cohorts of 20 women. The goal is to address the various challenges women in STEM face, including diminished credit for their work and lower chances of receiving research grants.

Dr. Welsh Coaching, LLC, made the decision to create the program to target a significant need revealed by recent studies, such as those published on PubMed and by Yale University, which highlight the systemic barriers women researchers encounter, from authorship denials to reduced grant opportunities. "Navigating Success" seeks to equip these women with leadership skills and support their integration into professional settings, fostering a more inclusive and equitable scientific community.

Dr. Anne Welsh, the founder of the company and creator of this initiative, has developed the program with the flexibility to be adapted and implemented in other organizations, thereby extending its impact to support the development of women leaders across various sectors.

"Through ‘Navigating Success', we hope to shatter the glass ceilings that have historically limited women's roles in the spheres of medicine and biomedical research," says Dr. Welsh. "This program represents a vital step towards empowering women with the leadership tools and confidence they need to excel and lead in their fields. We are focused on promoting growth, mentorship, and support to develop individual leaders and transform the entire STEM industry to be more inclusive and equitable."

In addition to this novel program, Dr. Welsh has also been active on the podcast circuit, discussing topics related to leadership, mindfulness, and career development for women. Furthermore, she is preparing to conduct a mindfulness workshop aimed at supporting career development and mental wellness for women working in Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), in collaboration with the national organization Women in ETFs.

"The mindfulness workshop being developed for women in EFTs is a critical tool for encouraging mental wellness and career growth in a highly demanding industry," Dr. Welsh shares. "Women who integrate mindfulness practices into their daily routines can enhance their decision-making, creativity, and resilience, leading to more fulfilling and successful careers. This workshop was born from a commitment to supporting women's professional development and mental health, so that they thrive in their careers and lead with confidence and balance."
