The New York Mets struggled from the plate registering 10 hits and no runs scored in a 4-0 loss to the Atlanta Braves. The Mets were without outfielder Yoenis Céspedes, who failed to report to the ballpark. After the game, Céspedes opted out of the 2020 season. David Peterson struck out eight, but gave up five hits in six innings worth of work.
