NSA against man for rape-murder

A day after a TOI report on the rape and murder of an 18-year-old Dalit girl in a UP town, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has taken suo motu cognizance of the case. Hours before that, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath announced Rs 5 lakh compensation for the family and ordered stringent NSA provisions against the accused.
