Sept surge: India No.1 in Covid cases, deaths

September is proving to be a grim month for India in its fight against coronavirus pandemic. According to Johns Hopkins University data, India is the second worst-hit nation in terms of Covid-19 cases after the US, while it is in the third spot in fatalities after the US and Brazil. India added 1 million Covid cases in a record time of 11 days in September.
