No Canadian has played in more Major League Baseball games than Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto, who appeared in No. 1,989 on Sunday - an 8-5 win over the visiting Chicago Cubs - to break the previous mark held by Hall of Famer Larry Walker.
