In other words, a firmware update is offered to the Surface Duo on day one, which means that the moment you complete the initial setup and check for updates, you should be provided with an update for your device. The September 10 firmware update for the Surface Duo is available for both unlocked devices and those locked on AT&T. For the unlocked Surface Duo, the firmware version is 2020.812.86, while on AT&T it is 2020.812.87.
