Microsoft Announces New Microsoft Edge Notification Features on Windows 10

Microsoft has already completed the transition to the Chromium engine for its very own browser, and now the company can focus its efforts on improving the experience on all platforms where the app is now available. Needless to say, the way Edge works on Windows 10 continues to be a priority for the Redmond-based software giant, and today the company announced yet another important series of updates that concern the notifications users get from websites. More specifically, the new Chromium-powered Edge now supports background notifications for pinned sites and PWAs, which means that you can continue to receive notifications even if the application is closed. This is a feature that was available in the legacy version of the browser, and now Microsoft is bringing it to the Chromium sibling too.
