Microsoft has just shipped a new build to Windows insiders in the Beta and Release Preview channels, this time with the purpose of fixing security vulnerabilities in Windows 10 version 20H2. Since it’s Patch Tuesday, Windows 10 build 19042.746 lands as cumulative update KB4598242, and the focus is entirely on fixing security bugs. In other words, you’re not getting any new features as part of this release, and Microsoft says it corrected an important security vulnerability affecting HTTPS-based intranet servers. The company explains the following in the changelog published today: “After installing this update, HTTPS-based intranet servers cannot, by default, use a user proxy to detect updates. Scans using these servers will fail if you have not configured a system proxy on the clients.
