NVIDIA Rolls Out New Vulkan Graphics Driver - Get Build 457.83 Beta

NVIDIA has made available a new GeForce Graphics Vulkan Driver, namely driver version 457.83 (455.50.02 for Linux) Beta, which adds support for linear images in host-visible video memory and fixes a crash Vulkan swapchain initialization on older versions of Windows 10. In addition to that, the current build also resolves an OpenGL issue where imported Vulkan buffers would fail with GL_OUT_OF_MEMORY on Linux if marked as resident, and correct VK_EXTERNAL_SEMAPHORE_HANDLE_TYPE_D3D12_FENCE_BIT semaphore export support on Windows platforms. When it comes to supported platforms, this new release is suitable for both desktop and notebook configurations powered by Microsoft’s Windows 7 and 10 operating systems (64-bit only).
