Samsung Loves Qualcomm, Snapdragon to Power Half of 2022 Phone Lineup

Samsung is betting big on its very own Exynos chip, but this doesn’t necessarily mean the company is ready to give up on the collaboration it has with Qualcomm. In fact, the South Koreans are relying heavily on Snapdragon chips, and the 2022 lineup, for example, is going to bet big on the US firm’s chipsets. According to a recent report from The Elec, Samsung will use Snapdragon hardware on no less than 31 phones going next year out of a total of 64 new launches. In other words, Samsung will use Qualcomm chips on nearly half of its entire 2022 phone lineup, while the Exynos will make its way to 20 models. Samsung will also use MediaTek chips, though this time, they will be installed on 14 phone models.
