Windows Media Player Gets a Welcome Update on Windows 11

The modern version of Media Player is getting a bunch of new improvements on Windows 11, this time available exclusively for Windows insiders before the rollout to production devices kicks off at a later time. In an announcement today, Microsoft reveals that the new version of Media Player is 11.2205, and it comes with several improvements for Windows insiders. The most notable is the ability to sort songs and albums in the collection by date added, with Microsoft explaining that this was one of the top feature requests since the modern version of Media Player went live earlier this year. “We are also beginning to roll out an update to Media Player in version 11.2205 and higher to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel.
