East Belfast FC taking legal action against SDLP councillor who they claim was engaged in ‘stunt’ over bid to cut council funding

East Belfast Football Club has accused a Belfast councillor of engaging in a “attention seeking stunt” and are taking legal action, after a proposal to end a long-standing funding agreement between the council and the club was defeated.
